Baptisms

The birth of a child is a signifcant event in the life of a family and parents often wish to celebrate this beginning in a special way. We in the Rectorial Benefice of the East Vale are privileged when we are asked to share in this through the scarament of baptism.

Baptism (or christening) is the start of a lifelong faith journey. It is a time for accepting the love of God and promising to follow Jesus - a promise that God helps us to keep through the strengthening power of his Spirit.

Whether you are thinking of baptism for your child or for yourself, the first step is to talk to one of the clergy team. We would be delighted to meet you and explore the options. Baptisms are normally held in each church on a Sunday afternoon at 12.30pm.

The link below explains the Church in Wales' understanding of baptism.
